  • 8 Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in OC:
  • The 5th Annual Huntington Beach Cherry Blossom Festival is Sunday 3/18 from 10:30am to 5:30pm at Central Park in HB. Music, art, dancing, food and more! FREE to attend.
  • The Brea Spring Craft Boutique is Friday and Saturday at the Brea community center. Shop from over 250 vendors. Admission is $2.
  • Volkswagens on the Pier! The Kowabunga Van Klan Car Show is Saturday 3/17 from 8am-2pm.  Vintage VW’s buses will line the pier. FREE to attend.
  • VeggiePalooza is all weekend from 9am-4pm at Fullerton Arboretum. Plants and vegetables for sale, including over 300 varieties of tomatoes, peppers and varietal veggies. FREE to attend.
  • The 11th Annual “Musink” Tattoo and Music Festival is all weekend at the OC Fairgrounds. Hundreds of world famous tattoo artists, low and slow car show, bands & more. Tickets required.
  • Visit one of the many weekend Farmers Markets in OC:
  • Cirque du Soleil LUIZA is in Costa Mesa at the OC Fairgrounds through 3/25. Tickets required.
  • Melanie Griffith stars in The Graduate at the Laguna Playhouse. The show opened this week and is running through 3/25. Tickets required.

    Anaheim Packing House in Anaheim, and 4th Street Market, and McFadden Public Market in Santa Ana, are indoor food halls where you can try various trendy food items, from up and coming chefs and restauranteurs.

  2. Attend a late night showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show:
    The Frida Cinema in Santa Ana is hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day “Rocky Horror Picture Show” event on Friday 3/9 at 11:30pm. Tickets required.
  3. Visit an Air Museum:
    The Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana gives you the opportunity to view authentic aircraft, rare vehicles and related memorabilia, with many items from WWII. Saturday 3/10 you can take a tour inside the DC-3 Flagship Orange County.
  4. Take a journey to an imaginary Mexico: 
    Cirque du Soleil LUIZA is in Costa Mesa at the OC Fairgrounds through 3/25. LUZIA takes you on a journey to an imaginary Mexico, with stunning sights, sounds, and breathtaking acrobatic performances. Tickets required.
  5. Visit the newly updated Nixon Museum:
    The Richard Nixon Museum in Yorba Linda has been recently updated and now has nearly 70 new exhibits, a replica of the Nixon’s Oval Office, interactive displays, and more. Admission required:
  6. View an Emmy-winning film and stay for the Q&A with the film maker:
    View the film Sonic Sea at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point on Sunday 3/11 from 6pm-9pm, and after the film there will be a Q&A with the film maker. Tickets required:
  7. Visit a Tiki Market or visit 2 for a double dose of Tiki:
    Don the Beachcomber’s Tiki Makeke is Saturday 3/10 from 10am-3pm in Huntington Beach. Shop from 50 vendors while you enjoy live entertainment. Admission is $10 but you get a $10 drink/food voucher.
    The Original Tiki Market Place is Saturday 3/10 from 10am-3pm at Elks Lodge in Garden Grove. Shop from Tiki vendors and listen to live music. Admission is $10 but you get a $10 drink voucher.
  8. See a Golden Globe winner and Oscar-nominated actresses in a live performance: 
    Melanie Griffith stars in The Graduate at the Laguna Playhouse through 3/25. Tickets required.
  9. Visit an arcade:
    The top floor of the McFadden Public Market in Santa Ana is home to Mission Control, a bar and retro 80’s arcade. Fill your pockets with quarters and play Pacman, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, classic pinball games, and more. No cover.
  10. Attend a musical: 
    Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The KING AND I is at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. There are 4 performances this weekend. Tickets required.
  11. Take the kids to the Discovery Cube:
    Discovery Cube in Santa Ana is the perfect rainy day destination for kids in OC. There are plenty of exhibits and things to do to keep the kids busy.
