Things To Do This Weekend in Orange County, 10/28-10/31


Here’s our list of things to do this weekend, 10/28-10/30, in Orange County: 

  • Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade is Saturday in Downtown Anaheim. Festival starts at 11am, parade starts at 6pm. Games, costume contests, pumpkin patch, Dia de los Muertos altars, good & more. FREE to attend.
  • Ghosts & Legends Tours are Friday and Saturday in San Juan Capistrano. Take a walking tour of California’s oldest residential street and learn it’s spooky history. Tickets are $8.
  • Dana Wharf “Boo Cruise” event is Friday from 5-7pm in Dana Point. Take a 20 minute haunted harbor cruise. Costume contest on every cruise. Tickets are $5.
  • Dana Point Halloween Spooktacular Moonlight Movie is Friday from 3-9pm. Cookie decorating, magic show, costume parade, games & more. The movie “Hotel Transylvania 2” starts at 7pm. FREE to attend.
  • Laguna Niguel’s Haunted Trails are Friday and Saturday from 6:30-10pm. Adventure through the old abandoned courthouse while zombies inmates rise from the dead. Tickets required.
  • SoCal VegFest is all weekend from 10am-6pm at OCC in Costa Mesa. Cooking demos, yoga and meditation, guest speakers, & more. FREE to attend.
  • Gwen Stefani is playing the final 2 shows at Irvine Meadows Saturday and Sunday night. Tickets are still available.
  • Fall Corgi Beach Day is Saturday from 10am-3pm at Huntington Dog Beach. Watch as corgi dogs participate in costume contests, talent contests, limbo contest & more! FREE to attend.
  • Higgins Manor haunt experience is happening 10/28-10/31 in Mission Viejo. This event runs from 7-10pm each night. “The best home haunt in South OC” is FREE to attend but donations are welcomed and benefit the GreenDog Foundation.
  • Boot Hill (OC’s most elaborate Halloween yard display) is happening 10/28-10/31 in Irvine. FREE to attend but donations are welcomed and benefit CHOC.
  • Laguna Hills kids events “Ghostly Affair” (ages 6 & under) and “A’Maze’ingly Haunted Hills” (ages 7 & up) are Saturday at the Community Center. Admission varies per event.
  • Mission Viejo’s Hometown Halloween is Saturday from 3-7pm at the Community Center. Activities include pony rides, face painting, games, costume parade & more.
  • The OC Halloween Zoo-tacular is Saturday from 10am-4pm in Orange. Watch as zoo animal receive treat-filled pumpkins throughout the day. First 100 kids in costume get a free gift. Admission is $2.
  • The 19th Annual OC Marketplace Trick or Treat Festival is Sunday from 9:30-2:30pm in Costa Mesa. Trick or treating, face painting, entertainment & more. Admission required.

And coming up on Monday, 10/31…

  • Huntington Beach HBoo SpookyTown is from 4pm-8pm in downtown HB. Live entertainment, games, petting zoo, trick-or-treating, costume contest & more. FREE to attend.

Fun Stuff To Do This Weekend, 10/22-10/23, in Orange County


Here’s some fun stuff to do this weekend, 10/22-10/23, in Orange County:

  • The inaugural Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow is all weekend. Flying begins at noon each day. FREE to attend. More info:
  • Los Alamitos Halloween Festival is Saturday 10/22 from 6pm-9pm at the Los Alamitos Race Course. Costume contest, games, pony rides & more. Admission is $3.
  • The annual “Adios de las Golondrinas” Farewell to the Swallows Barbecue is Saturday 10/22 at Reata Park from 12pm-4pm in San Juan Capistrano. Live music by the Kelly Boys Band, country dancing, games & more. FREE to attend. BBQ meals are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
  • Fall Family Fest is Saturday 10/22 in Reata Park from 9am-5pm
    in San Juan Capistrano. Free kids activities and crafts. You can also learn how to create a butterfly garden, raise backyard chickens, create vertical gardens & more. FREE to attend.
  • The Asian Pacific Festival is all weekend from 10am-10pm at Newport Dunes. Music, food, carnival rides & more. Admission is $5.
  • The 4th Annual San Clemente Oktoberfest is Saturday 10/22 from 12pm-9pm at Vista Hermosa Sports Park. Beer, food, live music, games & more. Tickets are $20 and are available at the event.
  • Doheny State Beach Halloween Haunt is Saturday 10/22 from 6:30-8:30pm in picnic sites A & B. Arts & crafts, fun zone & more. FREE to attend but the donation of a non-persishbale food item would be appreciated.

Here’s some fun stuff to do this weekend, 10/14-10/16, in Orange County:

  • The 9th Annual Haunt at Heritage Hill is Friday 10/14 and Saturday 10/15 from 6pm-10pm in Lake Forest. Scream zones, mazes, dancing & more. Ages 12 and up. Admission is $8.
  • The inaugural “Art on the Walk” art walk is Friday 10/14 from 6-10pm at Anaheim GardenWalk. Live music, dance performances & more. FREE to attend.
  • OozeFest is all weekend in Santa Ana. Eat cheesy creations at this foodie event. Admission is $5 or you can buy an all-you-can-eat VIP pass for $50. Save $5 with promo code OCEVENTS
  • It’s a Halloween movie weekend at The Frida Cinema in Santa Ana. Friday is “Little Shop of Horrors”, Saturday is a triple feature of  “Dracula”, “Frankenstein” and “The Bride of Frankenstein” and Sunday is “Beetlejuice”. Tickets required. 
  • The Gem Faire is at the OC Fairgrounds all weekend 10/14-10/16. Shop for gemstones, crystals, jewelry & more. There is a fee for admission and parking required. 
  • Scarecrow & Pumpkin Festival (presented by the OC Model Engineers) is all weekend from 10am-3pm in Fairview Park in Costa Mesa. Train rides, face painting and more. FREE to attend.
  • Dana Point Oktoberfest is Saturday 10/15 from 12pm-7pm at Sea Terrace Park. Food, beer, live entertainment & more. FREE to attend.
  • He’e Nalu Aloha Festival is Saturday 10/15 at the Pier in Huntington Beach. Island Food, entertainment, shopping, luau & more. FREE to attend.
  • The 9th Annual Old Town Tustin Art Walk is Saturday 10/15 on Main Street and El Camino Real. Art, music, wine tasting, historic old town bus tours & more. FREE to attend.
  • The Aliso Viejo Fall Harvest Festival is Saturday 10/15 from 10am-12pm in Grand Park. Arts & crafts, games, food drive & more. FREE to attend.
  • The 13th Annual Newport Beach Art in the Park is Saturday 10/15 from 10am-4pm at the Civic Center. Over 100 artists will be exhibiting their work. FREE to attend.
