It’s going to be a great weekend in Orange County! The Swallows Day Parade and Street Fair is back for its 60th year, there are 3 beer festivals, a Beachcruiser meet in HB, Wonder Con arrives in Anaheim, and much more!

  • The 60th Annual Swallows Day Parade and Mercado Street Fair is Saturday 3/24 in San Juan Capistrano. Parade starts at 11am (RAIN or SHINE). Street Fair runs from 9am-5pm.
  • The 18th Annual Beachcruiser Meet is this weekend in downtown Huntington Beach. You’ll see woodies, steel wagons, convertibles, and more. Viewing is FREE.
  • Pop culture convention WonderCon is at the Anaheim Convention Center 3/23-3/25. Comics, movies, tv, books, authors, collectibles, masquerade and more! 3 day tickets are still available, as well as Friday and Sunday.

Holiday Fun Continues this Weekend in Orange County

It’s the last weekend for all the major holiday events in Orange County. Don’t miss the last of 3 boat parades, Christmas at the zoo, 2 free holiday movies, a menorah lighting, and more!

  • The 55th Annual Huntington Harbour “Cruise of Lights” is 12/15-12/18 and 12/21-12/23. Take a boat cruise through the HB waterways and see thousands of lights on boats, decks, homes & more. Tickets required. Funds raised from ticket sales support youth programs in OC.
  • The 43rd Annual Dana Point Boat Parade is Friday and Saturday night at 7:30pm. Family friendly activities start at 5:30pm. FREE to attend.
  • The Newport Beach Boat Parade is Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 6:30pm. The best viewing spots around the bay are Balboa Funzone/Boardwalk, Peninsula Point Beach, the walkways on both sides of the Balboa Island Ferry crossing, and Lido Park. FREE to attend.
  • Watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”on Friday 12/15 in Lake Forest on the Sports Park Lawn. Movie starts at 6pm. FREE to attend.

It’s going to be a great weekend in OC with some fun outdoor activities to enjoy. Dana Point is home to two events this weekend, the Tall Ships Festival and the Ohana Music Festival. Sunset Serenades return to Heisler Park in Laguna Beach and don’t forget to catch one of the last outdoor movies of the summer…

  • Sunset Serenades return to Heisler Park in Laguna Beach Friday 9/8. Enjoy live music every Friday night in September from 5:30pm to sunset in the Rockpile Amphitheater (by the whale sculpture). FREE to attend. Schedule:
  • The Tall Ships Festival is all weekend in Dana Point. Friday night “Sunset Parade Sail”, tour the tall ships, cannon battles, entertainment and more. Admission required.
  • The Ohana Music Festival is all weekend at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point. Enjoy performances by Eddie Vedder, Jack Johnson, Social Distortion & more. Tickets required.
  • Don the Beachcomber’s Tiki Makeke is Saturday 9/9 from 10am-3pm in Huntington Beach. Shop from 50 vendors while you enjoy live entertainment. Admission is $10 but you get a $10 drink/food voucher.
  • OC’s Ancient Wonders is Saturday 9/9 from 11am-3pm at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. This is a family friendly event where kids will learn about local fossils and artifacts, and will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, hikes & more. FREE to attend. Parking is $5.
  • Oktoberfest kicks off on Sunday 9/10 at Old World in Huntington Beach. Weiner dog races, live music, games & more. Doors open at 2pm. Admission is $7-$10.

Movies in the Park:

  • Friday, September 8: “Sing” at El Cerrito School in La Habra. Activities begin at 6pm, movie starts at dusk. FREE to attend.
