Fun Things To Do in Orange County This Weekend, Feb 17-20

Many of the events planned for this weekend have been postponed due to weather but we still found a few things you can do indoors, 2/17-2/20: 

  • Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond is at the Irvine Improv Friday and Saturday night for 3 shows. Tickets required 
  • The Harlem Globetrotters are at the Honda Center for two shows on Saturday. Tickets required. 
  • Attend a performance of The Little Prince at the Samueli Theater in Costa Mesa on Saturday or Sunday. Tickets required.
  • Iron Butterfly, famous for their song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, will be at the Laguna Beach Playhouse Saturday at 7:30pm. Tickets required.
  • Downton Abbey fans can view 39 costumes from the show. Now through May 7th, at the Muezo Museum and Cultural Center in Anaheim. Tickets required.
  • Comedian Fred Behrendt is at the Brea Improv all weekend. Tickets required. Use promo code: CTWTPDOFFER for FREE tickets (quantities limited).
  • Silent Film Poster Exhibition “The Birth of Motion Pictures” Opening Gala & Centennial Celebration is Saturday at the Brea Art Gallery from 6pm-10pm. View original stone lithograph posters, memorabilia and an Oscar. FREE to attend. 
  • Political comedian Bill Maher is at Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa on Saturday at 8pm. Tickets required.
  • Former SNL cast member Darrell Hammond is at the Irvine Improv Sunday night. Tickets required 
  • Celebrate Presidents Day at the Nixon Museum in Yorba Linda, Monday 2/20. First 300 visitors get a slice of cherry pie. FREE to attend.

Some Fun and Unusual Things To Do In Orange County This Weekend, 2/10-2/12

Here are a few fun things and a few unusual things to do this weekend, 2/10-2/12, in Orange County: 

  • Attend a Full Moon Drum Circle on Friday 2/10 at Aliso Creek Beach in Laguna Beach from aprox 7pm-10pm. Dance by firelight or bring a drum and participate. FREE to attend.
  • The Frida Cinema in Santa Ana is hosting a very special Valentine’s Day “Rocky Horror Picture Show” event on Friday 2/10 at 11:30pm. Tickets required. You can watch a video clip of what to expect, here: 
  • Ghosts & Legends of San Juan Capistrano is Friday 2/10 at The Camino Real Playhouse. Learn about the “strange phenomena” that takes place in San Juan Capistrano. Tickets required.
  • Attend a beach clean up in Huntington Beach on Saturday 2/11 from 9am-11am at Huntington State Beach (Lifeguard Tower #2). FREE to attend.
  • The Downtown Anaheim Art Crawl Experience (Valentine’s Day edition) is Saturday 2/11 from 6pm-10pm at the center street promenade. Live entertainment, food, art, shopping & more. FREE to attend. 
  • The Laguna Beach Music Festival is this weekend. There are 3 different ticketed events.
  • The 8th Annual Monarch Butterfly Day is Saturday 2/11 at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley from 10am-2pm. FREE to attend but there is a parking fee.
  • Treat your Valentine to a evening of painting, martinis and appetizers at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity’s “Valentini” night on Sunday 2/12 from 5-8pm in Costa Mesa. Tickets required. 
  • Watch a reenactment of the American Revolution all weekend in Huntington Beach Central Park. Demonstrations, dancing, battles & more! FREE to attend.

Fun Things To Do This Weekend, 2/4-2/5, in Orange County

Here are some things to do this weekend, 2/4-2/5, in Orange County: 

  • The 14th annual San Juan Capistrano Car Show is Saturday 2/4 from 7:30am-2pm at the Community Center and Sports Park. Over 400 cars on display. Admission is $5.
  • The 2 actor play “Love Letters” is this weekend at the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach. We saw this play Thursday night and it was excellent! Tickets required: 
  • Attend a beach clean up in San Clemente on Saturday 2/4 from 9am-11am at Calafia State Beach. Beach cleanups are held on the first and second Saturday of the month. FREE to attend.
  • OC Parks offers different hikes throughout the county on a regular basis. This Saturday 2/4 you can participate in an 8-mile “Car Wreck Fitness Hike”, where you hike to an old car wreck and by a cave. Parking fees apply. 
  • The 37th Annual Black History Parade and Cultural Faire is Saturday 2/4 from 9am-4pm at Center Street Promenade in Anaheim. Parade begins at 10am. Live entertainment, food & more. FREE to attend. 
  • The Little Saigon Tet Parade is Saturday 2/4 on Bolsa Avenue in Westminster. Parade starts at approximately 8:30am. FREE to attend. Here’s a writeup on what you can expect to see: 
  • Comedian Margaret Cho is at the Brea Improv for 4 shows Friday and Saturday (1 show is already sold out). Tickets required:
  • The Downtown Santa Ana Art Walk is Saturday 2/4 from 6pm-10pm. Food, shopping, performances & more. FREE to attend.  
  • The Surf City Marathon and Expo is this weekend in Huntington Beach. The Active Lifestyle Expo runs Saturday and Sunday and the marathon and half-marathons are Sunday. Expo is FREE to attend.
