It’s going to be a gorgeous weekend in Orange County! There are 10 Earth Day events including beach cleanups, restoration projects, and actives for kids. There’s a movie in the park Saturday night in Yorba Linda, a wine festival in Dana Point, Record Store Day across OC, Dapper Day, and more.

  • The California Wine Festival is Friday and Saturday in Dana Point. California’s best wineries, top chefs, live music and more. Tickets required.
  • Movie in the Park: Watch Trolls on Saturday 4/21 in Hurless Barton Park in Yorba Linda. Movie starts at dusk. FREE snacks and FREE to attend.
  • Dapper Day Expo is all weekend at the Disneyland Hotel. Followed by the Spring 2018 Dapper Day on Sunday 4/22. Join thousands of Disney fans dressed in vintage styles from the bygone era. The Expo is at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall. Dapper Day requires Disneyland Park admission. Traffic and parking will be impacted in the surrounding area.
  • The 11th Annual Record Store Day is Saturday 4/21. Support your local record store and find exclusives available only on Record Store Day.
  • Watch Willy Wonka on the big screen all weekend at The Frida Cinema in downtown Santa Ana, as part of their “Weekend Family Matinees” series. Tickets required.
  • The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum’s Sunday Concert Series continues on 4/22 at 2pm in Yorba Linda, with a British Brass Band. FREE to attend.
  • Visit one of the many weekend Farmers Markets in OC

Outside of OC but worth the drive…

  • Renaissance Pleasure Faire is in Irwindale through 5/20. Live performances, jousting, shopping, food, and more. Admission required.

Earth Day Events: 

  • The “Green Scene” Plant and Garden Expo is all weekend at the Fullerton Arboretum. Workshops, garden talks, specialty plants and more. Admission required.
  • San Clemente is celebrating Earth Day on Saturday 4/21 from 10am-2pm at Parque Del Mar. Beach cleanup at 8:30am, followed by educational displays, arts & crafts, and more. FREE to attend.
  • Crystal Cove State Beach is celebrating Earth Day on Saturday 4/21 in Laguna Beach. Help with beautification projects such as planting, watering, mulching, beach cleanup and more. FREE to attend. Day use fee is waved for volunteers.
  • The City of Laguna Niguel is celebrating Earth Day on Saturday 4/21 with a “Go Green” volunteer event from 8:30am-11:30am at Crown Valley Community Park. Help improve the landscaping of the 18-acre preserve. FREE to attend.
  • Earth Day at the Bay is Sunday 4/22 from 10am-3pm at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center in Newport Beach. Scavenger hunt, exhibits, arts & crafts and more. FREE to attend.
  • The City of Mission Viejo is celebrating Earth Day on Saturday 4/21 from 8am-12pm. Help plant drought-tolerant trees, shrubs & more. Volunteers must sign a waiver. FREE hotdogs and ice cream for volunteers. FREE to attend.
  • The Dana Point Headlands Conservation Area Earth Day Celebration is Saturday 4/21 from 11am-2pm. Nature tours, crafts, snake interaction, basket weaving and more. FREE to attend.
  • The Newport Beach chapter of Surfrider is having an Earth Day Cleanup  on Saturday 4/21 from 9am-12pm.
  • The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano is celebrating Earth Day on Sunday 4/22 at 11am. Learn about composting, organic container gardening, pickling and more. FREE to attend.
  • Band Dirty Heads and OC Coastkeeper have teamed up for a beach cleanup in Huntington Beach on Sunday 4/22 from 10am-12pm at Huntington State Beach. FREE to attend.
