Holiday Fun This Weekend in Orange County

It’s beginning to look a lot like…fun festive activities! For those of you who aren’t on a mad dash to the mall for last minute shopping, check out what’s going on in Orange County this weekend.  

All weekend:

  • The 57th Annual Huntington Harbour “Cruise of Lights” runs 12/17-12/23. Cruise through Huntington Beach waterways and see thousands of lights on boats, decks, homes & more on a 45-minute narrated ride. Tickets required.   • The Newport Beach Boat Parade runs 12/18-12/23 each night at 6:30pm. We recommend arriving early to stake out a good spot! The best viewing spots around the bay are: Balboa Funzone/Boardwalk, Peninsula Point Beach, the walkways on both sides of the Balboa Island Ferry crossing, and Lido Park.   • Enjoy a unique educational experience as you stroll through historic Heritage Hill Park in Lake Forest, which has a holiday light display and special evening hours 5-7pm 12/20 & 12/21 and 12/27 & 12/28. Attendance and parking are FREE. https://bit.ly/2Q0O6pB 
  • Last chance! This is the final weekend to attend the Sawdust Winter Fantasy arts & crafts show in Laguna Beach. Open Friday 12/20 through Sunday 12/22. Tickets required. http://bit.ly/2fKwv2g

Saturday:

Saturday:

  • Celebrate the season and support CUSD schools on Sunday, 12/15 3-5pm with a tree lighting ceremony at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point. Here’s what’s happening this weekend in Orange County. There’s a Noche de Altares (Day of the Dead) festival Saturday in Santa Ana, a Pumpkin Launch is Saturday in Fullerton, the Dapper Day Expo returns to Disneyland, and more!

  • Noche de Altares is Saturday 11/2 from 12pm-9pm on Flower St and Santa Ana Blvd. This community Dis de los Muertos celebration will include over 100 altars, live entertainment, face painting, shopping, food & more. FREE to attend. http://bit.ly/2gNoJKn

  • Dapper Day Expo is all weekend 11/2-11/3 at the Disneyland Hotel. Followed by the fall 2019 Dapper Day on Sunday. Join thousands of other Disney fans as they dress in vintage styles from the bygone era. The Expo is at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall and admission is required.
