There’s lots to do this weekend in Orange County:

There’s no shortage of things to do this weekend in Orange County. Foodies rejoice! There’s a Hot Sauce Festival, a Plum Festival and a Lobster Festival. We’ve also got the VIC World Championship of Skimboarding, Downtown Anaheim’s Art Crawl Experience, 7 Movies in the Park, 7 Outdoor Concerts and more!

  • Brea Fest is Friday from 6:30-10pm at the Brea Civic Center. Live music, food, arts & crafts and more. FREE to attend.
  • The VIC World Championships of Skimboarding is all weekend at Aliso Creek Beach in Laguna Beach. FREE to attend.
  • National “Clear The Shelters Day” is Saturday 8/19 at various pet adoption centers across the county and in Orange County, including the OC Animal Care Center in Orange (17$ adoptions) and the Irvine Animal Care Center ($20 adoptions). If you’re thinking about adding a pet to your family this is a great day to do it.
  • The Downtown Anaheim Art Crawl Experience (A.C.E.) and Swingin’ on the Promenade is Saturday 8/19 from 6-10pm. Center Street Promenade is transformed into an outdoor 1940’s swing club. Shopping, live music, food trucks & more! FREE to attend.
  • 8th Annual Dana Point Lobster Fest is Saturday 8/19 at Doheny State Beach. Tickets required.
  • Watch Jurassic Park accompanied by the Pacific Symphony, Saturday 8/19 at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa. Tickets required.
  • The 57th Annual San Clemente Arts & Craft Fair is all weekend at the San Clemente Community Center. FREE to attend.
  • The 3rd Annual California Hot Sauce Expo is all weekend at The Grove of Anaheim. Tickets required.
  • Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta is all weekend in Dana Point. Watch the Regatta from Doheny or Capo beach. Event schedule:
  • Plum Fest is Sunday 8/20 from 2-6pm at Old World in Huntington Beach. Plum cakes, plum crepes, live music, games & more. FREE to attend.
  • The Los Angeles Chargers Training Camp wraps up this week with 2 more practices at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa. FREE to attend but fans are encouraged to reserve a bleacher seating pass.
  • Art-A-Fair Fine Art Festival continues this weekend in Laguna Beach. Show runs through 9/3. Admission required.
  • The Sawdust Arts and Crafts Festival continues this weekend in Laguna Beach. Show runs through 9/3. Open 10am-10pm daily. Admission required.
  • The Pageant of the Masters & Festival of Arts continues this weekend in Laguna Beach. Watch as famous paintings come to life! Tickets required.

  • Friday, August 18: “The Sandlot” at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim at 8pm. (Free parking after 6pm).
  • Friday, August 18: “Wizard of OZ” at Grand Park in Aliso Viejo. Movie begins at dusk.
  • Friday, August 18: People’s choice at Champions Sports Complex in Placentia. Movie begins at dusk.
  • Friday, August 18: “Secret Life of Pets” at Pearson Park Amphitheatre in  Anaheim at 8pm.
  • Friday, August 18: “Finding Dory” at Los Alamos Park in Fountain Valley. Activities begin at 6pm, movie starts at dusk.
  • Friday, August 18: “The Incredibles” at Hurless Barton Park Amphitheater in Yorba Linda at 8pm.
  • Friday, August 18: “Frozen” at Twila Reid Park in Anaheim at 7:45pm. This is part of the “Disneyland Celebrates Summer” program.

  • Friday 8/18: The Answer (Classic Rock) at Crown Valley Park Amphitheatre in Laguna Niguel from 6:30-8:30pm.
  • Saturday 8/19: Santana Ways (Santana Tribute) at Pearson Park Amphitheatre in Anaheim at 7pm.
  • Saturday 8/19: GGB and Wild Adults at the Silverado Fairgrounds in Silverado from 6-10pm. Admission is 1 can of food to be donated to the local food bank.
  • Sunday 8/20: Stone Soul (Motown) at Grand Park/Town Center Amphitheatre in Aliso Viejo from 5:30-7:30pm.
  • Sunday 8/20: My Generation (second band TBA) at Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point from 2:30-6pm.
  • Sunday 8/20: Huntington Beach Concert Band at Huntington Beach Central Park in Huntington Beach at 5pm.
  • Sunday 8/20: Upstream (Reggae/Calypso) at Bluebird Park in Laguna Beach from 5-7pm.
